This is the same recipe I use for Quagels and biscuits.
You are going to need Plain Greek yogurt & self rising flour and any additional herbs/cheese if you want to flavor your naan.
**If you don’t have any self rising flour you can combine 1 cup of flour with 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt, also works for gluten free AP flour.
Ingredients you'll need:
1 CUP PLAIN GREEK YOGURT
1 CUP SELF RISING FLOUR
-additions, garlic, fresh herbs, cheese, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt
In a bowl combine 1 cup of yogurt, 1 cup of self rising flour and any additional herbs or additions you want to add.
Mix with a spoon until you form into a dough, then switch up to your hands to form it into a ball.
Meanwhile preheat a skillet on medium heat with a little bit of EVOO or ghee. On a floured surface cut your dough into 6 pieces or 4 if you prefer bigger Naan breads. Roll each one into the shape of a naan, almost rectangular without the edges.
Place a few in the pan, depending on size and cook on each side about 3 minutes or until golden.
Repeat until all of the naan is cooked. Brush with oil, butter or sprinkle some cheese, sea salt or herbs on top and enjoy!
